Confused about version and kernel...

Hey guys, I've been rooting my phones for quite a while now and only just now have I gotten confused about kernel and phone versions...after reading all the threads that just popped up about .32 and .34, I can't figure out if the talk is about my kernel version, or my phone version? I'm running system version 2.3.15.MB810, and kernel 2.6.32.9-gfb07887. Do I need to get onto the .34 OTA or not?

Two ways to go by this. Flash the 2.3.15 sbf then update to. 34 or download the ota. Sorry lazy to link and at work. Go to mydroidworld.com and it will be on droid x discussion. .32 don't worry about that cause your on the official 2.3.15 so just need to update to ..34 straight.
