Clockworkmod not booting into recovery

installed flyx rom and tried to download stock rooted 2.2 via rom manager and now i cant get the phone to boot past the motorola boot screen?! i think i forgot to check the wipe data box. suggestions

or hold power and the search (magnifying glass) button to boot into recovery....maKE SURE YOU HAVE SU PERMISSION..and you actually didnt loose root thru upgrade or flasing a rom etc.

I had the same issue. Downloaded and installed Bootstrap, and Clockworkmod Recovery. Ran Bootstrap and then went to install FlyX and it didnt restart and install. Turns out neither programs were running with SU privileges. Rebooted the phone, when I re-opened Bootstrap and Clockworkmod recovery they prompted for SU privileges. I then patched the bootstrap and ran the install and it worked.

Help I've lost ClockWork recovery, my phone just reboots back into android

This thread on the droidX forums worked perfect for me with the same issue. Try it, it is a pretty simple fix.
