Is there any way of changing the color of the dots on the stock pattern-based lock screen? I have a wallpaper that is mostly medium-blue, and, in bright sunlight, there isn't much contrast between the wallpaper and the dark-gray dots, making it difficult to unlock the phone.

Try using the "UOT Kitchen".
