Change physical keyboard function with SMS?

Hello everybody

I love the slide out keyboard and have gotten used to it's size with no problems except one. When I am texting and I hit the Delete (Backspace) button, sometimes my thumb hits the Enter button which causes the phone to send the text message unfinished.

I first thought my thumb was too fat so I put it on a strict diet and exercise regimen but no avail there.

Does anybody know if there is a setting somewhere to disable or preferably change the function of the Enter button while composing a text message?

Get the Handcent SMS app and replace your standard one. The standard setting require you to hit Alt+Enter (can be changed back). Along with a bunch more options.

EDIT: The actual option name in Handcent is "Send sms shortcut key"
