can't send email, but can receive

When I send an email it just sits there saying "sending"
I receive just fine.

Current ROM: Ultimate Droid 9.8
Using gmail

This has happend on previous Rom as well.

Edit: Fixed by clearing gmailStorage under Settings:applications:filter:all:gmailStorage: clear data
