can't send email to self

Last night I noticed when I sent an email to myself with Google's email app it just hung at the red sending. Same thing on wifi or 3g. I'm on CM6 so asked wife to try, and same thing with her phone. I can log into gmail web and send to myself fine. All other email is sent fine from the app. Same thing this morning. Anyone else seeing this?

I "cleared data" in the Gmail app and now all is working fine. I'll check the wife's when she wakes up. It's strange this happened to both of us at the same time. And she's on stock 2.2.
