Have PH98IMG.zip on sd card. Gets this far...

*** LOCKED *** VIGOR PVT SHIP S-ON RL HBOOT-2.11.0000 eMMC-boot

HBOOOT
Parsing...[SD ZIP]

[1]...
...[18] ...
start update? <VOL UP>

Next to "[1] BOOTLOADER" "- Fail-PU" And below [18]..., "Partition update fail!" "Update Fail!" "Press <POWER> to reboot."

It's an HTC Rezound I'm trying to get back to stock, Verizon.

Any ideas?

Couple questions... Were you unlocked before? Which RUU are you trying to flash?

oem verizon...
RUU_VIGOR_ICS_35_S_VERIZON_WWE_3.14.605.12_Radio_RS_1.22.10.0424r_3622A_MR3_9K_release_270509_signed.exe

When trying to reset from rom, final window says,"ERROR[170];USB CONNECTION ERROR", Check usb cable, etc...
What to try next?
Please advise.
Thank you!

unlocked?

Not sure...when I knew to look at s-' & 'locked status, it's been this way... thus I can skip PH98IMG.zip update & restore from rom via usb?

I have seen other people have issues with the full RUU installer, at least on earlier ROM versions, I didn't know there was a EXE installer for the 3.14.605.12 version.

I would suggest doing it manually via the RUU ZIP file Bpowder33 referenced above, it is very simple and just about idiot proof.

same thing happens...

Have PH98IMG.zip on sd card.

Mobile Overload has a collection of most of the older RUU's here: [RUU] HTC Rezound RUU RoundUp

Perhaps trying the last GB RUU (2.1.605.11) will help but I really don't like the "Partition Update Fail" message, it kinda makes me wonder if the flash memory bad.
