Semi Bricked Rezound ?

Ok. So let's get the chuckles out of the way.... I bricked (semi bricked) two phones in one day.
The one I am concerned about is my rezound. I did have it rooted and running the theamed cubed from BAMF and was loving it. I cleared my tried some other ROM's and one of them froze the phone so I re installed cubed but when I did the phone goes from the white HTC screen to a black screen and just sits there. I can get to hboot and have tried to install different RUU's from the SD root. They install fine but the phone goes through the same process and stops at the black screen.
I also did the same thing to my thunder bolt but with this one when I installed the RUU it lost the root but works fine.
On my Rezound in hboot I am still unlocked and it says

"VIGOR PUT SHIP S-ON RL"
"HBOOT 2.11.0000"
"eMMC- boot"
"Oct 6 2011, 15:43:22"

One last note. Does it matter what you name the .zip on the SD root.

Please help.

You have a pre-OTA phone...what recovery are you running? Lastly are you flashing the kernel after you flash the ROM? If not this would explain why you're hanging on the HTC screen. First boot usually takes a while as well.

I didn't know I needed to flash the kernel or even where to get one. I had the latest OTA from Verizon prior to rooting and running cubed.
I did have clockworkMod but when I try to recover in hboot it tells me " oops there's been a mistake" and tells me to reboot and the process starts over.

K. I tried to install the kernel like you asked and I get the following.

"Main version is older!
Update fail!
Press power to reboot"

Is there anything else I can try.

Ya Buddy. You did it. The only issue now is getting around having to use the Gmail app formy mail. Hopefully upgrading to ICS 1.0 will resolve that. Thanks again.
You will now forever be known as "His Bigbootiness"
Thanks again.
