Can't connect to the computer ???

I have a rooted D1(a855) running GB 2.3.4 and the HD on my laptop died so I replaced it and when I connect my phone "nothing"
? WTF

Have you tried other USB ports? Have you verified that the USB ports work properly? Does you device not indicate that it is connected in the notification bar? Your OP is really too vague for anyone to assist.
