Can't compose email on Droid X Corporate Sync

I just dumped TouchDown as my email client and am now using Corporate Sync. Each time I try to compose a new email (using the Corporate Sync account) I can type in the recipient but as soon as I move off the box with the recipient's email address in it the message closes and I am taken back to the list of emails. I don't understand.

Can anyone help?
