Cannot playback recorded video

Hello everyone, today i come asking a question.
I am using a Droid X running 2.2

I recently recorded a video in HD and attempted to watch it on my phone. It keeps coming up saying "File cannot be displayed or played." I use double twist for my music and standard video playback for videos. I read that Act 1 is a good program, but im not trying to buy an app just to watch movies. So i got the trial. The trial shows the video and says for the video type, "Unknown; may cause problems" it says how big the movie is and it is a .3gp it says the video is 40.1mb.

Can i not watch the HD recordings i do on my phone; only through the HDMI out port?

That's a bug of some sort. Usually requires I power down the phone and restart.

It's great when you buy songs on Amazon MP3, only to find out the phone all of a sudden can't play them.

I tried doing that but it didnt work.
Im going to try pulling the file onto my pc and trying it.
