If you can pre-order it youll know by sept first.. and yes.. this thing will be considerably larger than the D1.. you can use the Droid x2 as a size comparison. the bionic will be similar in dimensions.

this thread shows the Bionic compared to the Motorola Defy which is basically the same size as the D1.
