Camera not working

I've had a droid 2 for several weeks now and for some reason my camera seems to no longer be taking pictures. I am still able to take, save and view videos, but when I click the button to capture a still frame, the phone goes through the process of taking a photo, flash and everything, but never actually takes it. I don't know if i just have some setting screwed up somewhere or if I have a software or hardware issue. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks

not sure if this is the same, but I thought that was what was happening to mine and after a reboot all the pic's showed up in gallery...............not much but hope this helps, I am not thrilled with stock camera app and trying Camera 360.......replacement app.
