Camera focus/shutter time?

The camera takes great pics... as long as you hold it very still and nothing in the frame moves for about 5 seconds. Is there any fix for the camera taking so long to take a pic? It can take some awesome pics, but I can't use it to get shots of my kids or anything because they never sit still long enough.

Talk about annoying.

Short answer is .... NO
If you want it a little quicker I have found if you lower the resolution it is a little quicker but maybe thats just me thinking it's a little quicker. Night pics are even worse but it takes great night pics if people will wait for that second flash

Shoot a video and then frame-grab the pics you like. ;-)
