I have a Razr HD. Occasionally in past callers couldn't hear me, all I get is Hello, Helllo, Hello. Now the mic seems to have quit working completely. Does not make any difference if it on speaker phone, still nothing. However I did figure out when using the camcorder, it picks up sound perfectly. I tried doing a reset and nothing changed. Is there a separate mic for the camcorder? If there is can the front mic be replaced? Thanks for the wife, currently using the wifes old Iphone and I want mine back!!

Kind of sounds like a hardware failure if the reset you did was a Factory Data Reset. One easy way to tell is put the phone in Safe Mode. When in Safe Mode, only the core system apps run (no Play Store apps). If the mic still dies not work...probably a hardware failure. If the mic does work in Safe Mode...then there is an app from the Play Store causing the issue.
