Buying a phone

My sister is thinking of upgrading to a droid through amazon. Any concerns about going through amazon? Also does anyone know how their insurance is? I really appreciate any feedback.

My wife got her Droid through Amazon and the insurance is from Asurion. Same as you get from the Verizon store.

I noticed price differences on full coverage insurance plans between amazonwireless and verizonwireless.com, so I was also confused. So if the insurance is the same you would get from verizon I'm assuming if you experience any problems with your phone you would just go to a verizon store and do not have to go through or deal with Amazon at all? Thanks to anyone who can clear this up for me!

The total equipment coverage is $7 a month per phone with asuiron thru Verizon. That's there to extend the manufactures warranty(free refurb. replacement), or with a deductible ($50 or $100) it covers lost, stolen, or any other physical damage(still a refurb unit). There are other Verizon premium retailers that's offer great protection plans as well. I got mine with the cellular connection. Theirs is a cheap one time fee and a low deductible with a new phone replacement.
