Bounty for Verizon HTC One Bootloader Unlock Reaches $1450!

It has been pretty common place for Verizon phones to release locked down tight since the days of the Droid X! Verizon has only enforced this policy with more effort each year. In the past we could expect a root method for VZW devices a few days before release or the day of release with bootloader unlocks to follow on most every device that was not Motorola. The Galaxy S4 has still not been unlocked though it has been rooted, and a LOKI recovery was made available all pretty quickly after the release.

The HTC One saw nearly 24 hours of unadulterated unlockability through HTCdev.com. Verizon hastily put an end to that (ultimately HTC disabled the feature on HTCdev.com, but I can only assume it was at the strong suggestion of Big Red.) Modders want their root and their roms so much that they are willing to pledge hard earned cash for the ability to do so. The official bounty for an HTC One bootloader unlock has reached $1450 and continues to grow. This could be wishful thinking on the part of Verizon customers, however the DNA was bootloader unlocked a few months after release with S-off so it can be done.

Are you holding out for a Bootloader unlock, or are you running out to purchase this locked down device now!

This is a collective effort. Individuals are pledging $1-20 and will not pay unless the unlock is achieved
