Booting up issues

Sorry for this thread as it is probably a repeat but I do not understand some of the acronyms in som of the posts. My 2 year old son was playing with my wifes phone and I do not know what he did but when I got the phone it was shutting down. When I went to restart it the phone wouldn't come out of the booting process. Pulled the battery and did some research here and did a factory reboot, I think. Anyway, now I can receive calls and that is about it. It will not let me unlock the screen or even bring up the home pages. You will ask if it is rooted and I have no idea what that means. I know that the power and vol. down button gets me to the reboot stuff but is there another process I should run? I am so confused as to what my 2 year old could have done to screw it up that bad.

Thanks:mad:

Well I did the hard reboot again and decided not to set up the google account right away and it is up and running. Just need to put back in the contacts that didn't get backed up.

An sbf file is a type of file Motorola uses to program blank phones. The Android community gets ahold of these files through leaks at Motorola and we use them the return phones back to stock configuration. It's the same thing Verizon or Motorola would do if you sent the phone in.

Sent from my Android device.
