X2 powers down during start up.

My X2, which I only use as a camera and recorder started shutting down on it's own when I start it. The only way to restart it is to pull the battery and start it again. Then it repeats the same problem. Thanks.

get a new battery
try safe mode
wipe data
flash sbf with rsd lite or ezSBF

It's not the battery. How do I try safe mode and wipe data? I assume that is the same as a FDR. Thank you!!!
