is my X2 toast??

well it started with my phone loosing signal with the towers (happened every once and a wile) to resolve that i needed to restart the phone....well i did just that and now when it restarted i got this message on the phone "Modem did not power up (2) Starting RSD protocol support" and it stays....the X2 is unmoded. I tried to reset the phone back to factory settings.... but nothing.

help...i love this phone!!

reset completed, but still boots to rsd support
couldn't get to recovery options

what system version is on phone, 2.3.4 or 2.3.5?
