Bluetooth Connect Issue

So I am a runner and I have a Fitbit and a Garmin GPS watch. Both sync seamlessly to apps so that I can track my fitness.

HOWEVER for some reason my Note 5 will NOT connect to these devices. I can't figure it out!
(I also have connect issues with my GMC Acadia)

What steps have you taken to try to rectify this?

Were they able to connect previously, or have you had trouble since you got the phone?

A basic first step is to "forget" those devices on the phone and then repair them if you've successfully paired them before.

I have always had issues, but my garmin watch i tried to connect for the first time the other night and my phone won't even find it. Fitbit it touch and go. I will try to forget device and start over with that one.
