bizzare facebook problem

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to droid but at first I figured out how to remove the facebook friends from my contacts. After a few days some started magically appearing again even with the account deleted. Now I have no facebook app or account but it still lists tons of FB friends and still won't let me delete them. I've reinstalled fb and uninstalled and that doesn't work either. And the phone is not rooted eithr. Any ideas on how to fix this?

The Facebook sync on the D2 is handled through the "Social Networking" app, I'm not sure of the specifics of it, but if you look there you should be able to find it and remove it from there.
I'd give more information, but I'm about to head out the door, just wanted to point you in the right direction
