Did anyone else catch this?

Verizon Denies Tethering, Hot Spot Features to Droid Customers | Gadget Lab | Wired.com

Seriously, is anyone else (who has a rooted droid 1 currently running 2.2 and wifi tethering) loving this news? The way that I am reading it, Big Red says that since my phone "can't" tether this means they cant charge me for it. Seriously, how are you going to charge me for something that my device "can't" do? I love the idiocratic thinking of executives who assume they are smarter than the average college kid with a laptop and time on his hands.

If this keeps up, I will never upgrade my phone.

I saw that this morning. Our Droid 1 phones just don't seem to have the hardware to support wifi hotspot type abilities.

I read that and said whaaat?:)
