Battery Life Question

I charged my phone last night. Woke up at 6 and unplugged it. it is now 9:23 and I am at 50% battery. what the hell am I missing here?

I'm assuming you've just update to 2.2. I manually updated about 3 weeks ago and saw instant decrease in the battery life. i was charging 3-4 times per day and it was taking forever. I will say that the batter somehow gets better the longer you have 2.2. Don't ask how or why, but with my Droid 1 the battery life has gotten better since I originally went to 2.2. Hope this helps.
