Bad data still what should I do get warranty replacement or other options

Im still having horrible issues with data drops. Should I get a replacement or what else can I do. Im totally stock the only reason im afraid of a warranty phone is I have heard they are refurbished I don't know if I want one. Would a new sim card help or any other options o could try.
