Backlight not Working on the Screen

So i got this phone 2 days ago and have been loving it.

Today, a couple of times, the backlight on my screen stops working. I can see the screen if I hold it under a light and navigate like that, but the screen isn't lighting up.

I pull the battery and it works fine, then a while later same thing happens.

Should I return it to the store because this is hardware? Or is this a software glitch?

So it happened again, and this time when I pressed the bottom right button (magnifying glass) the light came on. Now I thought i pushed all the buttons before but maybe I didn't. Is this perhaps an energy saving feature and I'm and idiot?

Sounds like a broken backlight to me. I'd get it exchanged.

Its defiantly the phone. Take it back and get a new one. Don't forget to show them the problem and give them some (fun) grief.
