Button Backlighting

After months of irratic button backlighting on my Droid 1, I was happy to see they had fixed the problem on the Droid X.

Now I am having the same problem with my X.

Sometimes the 4 buttons light up, other times they don't.

The only way I can get then to light is to turn off the screen, then turn it back on. The buttons with light for maybe 3 seconds, then go out.

When I touch the screen, they will not come back on.

What am I missing.

OK ... nobody had an answer, but I believe I have found out what is going on.

It seems the droid will go to this mode after getting below a certain level of charge.

After a full night of charge, it's just fine this morning.

I'll let it run down again, and see if it does the same thing.

im on my second D1. both have always done this at any charge.
