Backing up with Rom manager

Not freaking out but, just want to know if what is going on is normal. I'm backing up my current rom (stock 2.2) and I have the exclamation point with phone beneath it. It's just sitting there. shouldn't I see some words or something lke the phone is computing or something? I shouldn't have to hit the camera button or anything should I?




Update: Reflashed Clockwork recovery and it worked

Thanks for replying JK. Saw somewhere that either clockwork mod or Rom manager was a little skiddish on froyo. G2G now.
