Auto text spell check

Is there a way to turn off the auto spell. Getting frustrating when it changes abbreviations to something completely different. Thanks in advance

settings > language & keyboard then go in to the keyboard and turn off auto-correct. thats on my phone, should be the same on yours

no problem. if not just add your abbreviations to the dictionary.
