Disable Spell Check in ICS

I've got a GNex, which of course comes with ICS. It seems to have a spell check built in, but I prefer to use the spell check that comes with Swype. Is there a way to turn off the native spell check so that it doesn't get in the way of Swype's suggested words?

Go to settings/language and input/uncheck the box. Not sure if it effects swype.
