no i was just trying to text the old fashion way and you can push the s and you get the f. if you turn it sideways, you push the p and you get 4 other letters too. and i barely have any apps on it. i was just trying to set up my email.

What apps have you downloaded? We need to see what is on that phone that did not come with it.

Ok, do a factory reset. Go to menu>system setting>Privacy>factory reset. I don't know what else to tell you with a new and only the two apps mentioned on the phone other than what came with it. It may clear the problem up, but then again it may not but it is worth a try.

ok i will try that if i can get the thing to come back on. it went off like normal just the screen but now it won't come back on and its been charging for almost an hour

Basic troubleshooting would say look for something all 3 have in common.

Charger, SD card, SIM, do you use a case or screen protector?

verizon is sending me the razr hd. so far all them had the jumping text in common.
