Are 2.2 Droid1 OTA updates batched at midnight?

If I don't receive my OTA update notification for 2.2 by midnight on a given day, does that mean they won't send another round of updates to users until the following midnight? Has anyone received their OTA 2.2 update in the middle of the day? I was planning on waiting for the OTA update rather than manually installing and was curious.

No, people were receiving the update at various times throughout the day yesterday. Keep your fingers crossed!

trying to be patient and wait for the OTA update, but Its killing me. I know it can be done manually. But there is so much confusion reading through all these threads about froyo. MB size, issues, etc. Is the latest manual update for nonrooted users really exactly the same as the OTA? are people having problems with the official update at all?
I want my froyo...
