App updates stuck

Hi,
Some apps, when trying to update, either won't download....or won't install once it says they are downloaded.
It always used to be Google Maps. Now it's that one and ROM manager "starting download" with nothing happening.
I've tried hitting the "cancel download" button....and that just returns a screen saying the Market has stopped unexpectedly...and asks me to force close.
Is there a way to get these things to download and install?

Bassicly what it is saying is, if one or some of those apps are on your sd card. Try moving them back to your phone and then try updating them.
