App that roots/OCs/multi-touches and tethers for $5

Wow this is amazing. I read everything here before i bought the app and did everything. Thanks a ton sholes.info!

i've had a few problems too though.
1. Couple of random reboots
2. Wifi tether not being seen by my comp.
3. youtube crashes my Droid and reboots it EVERY time.

gunna try reflashing now... heres hoping that fixes the problems.

Wifi can be fixed by opening the wifi program, closing it, and do a reboot. This should solve your problems

did that actually work for you because my computer still not detecting it neither one

So, I just bought the app, and did the steps to root my phone, but once it rebooted All the Sholesmod Updater does is sit there with a black screen and eventually tells me it's not responding and has to force close. What did I do wrong?

Stop! Read this thread first. This as well as many other questions you're about to have will be answered before you even have them. People who took hours to install wish this thread had existed prior to them stumbling blindly through the dark because taking a short period to read this thread, especially the last several pages will cut that down to a fraction of the time. The developer is even posting in this thread and has given some VERY important and useful information that will cut install time WAY down.

Download SholesMod Updater today from Market!

If you see a black screen, tap it! If you get an FC dialog after 5 seconds, close the app and relaunch it. You must check the remember box on the SU dialog, and you must restart the app after granting SU permission.

still no joy on the wifi for me after trying all the fixes in this thread.... i even updated my driver on the comp hoping to fix it that way... i got nothing.

need some help. It asked if I want to wipe data, which i said yes to. Now its asking to chose bashrc (for adb shell). Which one do I chose here.

People who took hours to install wish this thread had existed prior to them stumbling blindly through the dark because taking a short period to read this thread, especially the last several pages will cut that down to a fraction of the time. The developer is even posting in this thread and has given some VERY important and useful information that will cut install time WAY down.

I read through a bunch of pages, but this thread is over 50 pages long, and much of the posts don't contain useful info. It would probably be good if the original poster edited his first post with a bunch of info.

I wasn't telling the program to remember the permission. After I did that and restarted the program it started installing. Thanks!

I bought it, downloaded it, ran the app, which rooted on reboot in recovery mode. I rebooted and don't see any differences? I went into sholesmod and opened it, where it asked me to allow a script to run, which I did and then it just sits on a black screen and then force closes. Something I do wrong?

What happens if you try and run this program on a Droid that is already rooted and has 2.1?

It is a lot to take in at once, and a big step (at least for me) but this thread really really really helps, i was able to fly through instalation knowing others people's problems

if you see the ninja you are rooted. go into the app again and allow:

Yea, you didnt read this thread lol. Keep tapping the screen, if it force closes, reopen it. You have to click the box that says remember...

how do you uninstall and reinstall? I'm still having some issues w/ google maps not working. Any idea how to fix that without uninstalling/reinstalling?
