I only have a couple questions before I do this. Can someone answer them por favor?

1) Does Sholes 1.2 come with a theme or just the 2.1 launcher and everything else is stock?
2) Are there still issues with the backlighting not working right or was that just the 2.1 that was made to work with the Droid?
3) I know landscape 2.1 launcher is screwy, it's always been odd. The 2.0.1 with 5 screens is fine though right?

2.1 launcher and 5 screens stock theme otherwise the back light issue was for 2.1 ROMs the backlight works fine. And the launcher in landscape I honestly don't know or remember because I never use it in landscape lol but I would guess it is based off the launcher2.apk so I would guess it is off.

to add it works for me in both landscape and portrait mode.

from what i am hearing, it is real hard to brick your phone.

if that is the case y to people throw "brick" around like its common. Have any one "ever" brick their phone just curious.

I bricked my first droid. It was pretty easy to do when we first got root, and didn't have recovery. This is why the first thing we do after rooting is to immediately flash recovery.

No I stated that it DOES work with keyboard open, but not closed. When you close it reverts to portrait mode instead of staying landscape.

Not on mine. If you rotate your phone to landscape it would swith to landscape. There is a setting for this and mine is checked, but still not working

Edit.. The setting is under Display setting /orientation/ you check that and it switches orientation automatically when you rotate your phone.
Edit #2 It switches on all screens but the home screen. Previously it would do switch to landscape when rotated, after this flash it will not on home screen

Are you talking about the 'Orientation' setting under display settings? That's only for Apps... I've never seen an option for having Home change....or are you using a different Home?

Yeah I'm definitely doing it, now I need to decide if I want to do it now and reflash when 2.0 is out or if I want to just wait a few days and go straight to 2.0 and that sexy smoked glass theme haha

I'm not sure if other users are having the same problem using the sholesmod, but in landscape mode in 2.1, when I open the apps tab everything is buggy (while in landscape) any app I choose by visual cue launches a different app (although regular home screen has accurate touch response), and the on-screen home icon launches an app as opposed to going back to the home screen. When in vertical mode, the app tab screen has that nice fluid bending-over-edge thing (which disappears for me in landscape as landscape mode kindof zooms in weirdly, at least on my droid)
Is this just me or other users experiencing this?

Maybe I am imaging things. But I could have swore stock allowed home screen to rotate without opening the keyboard. This rom does not

GO ahead do it, you know you want to, good to do it while its fresh in your mind and the forum is packed to get help if needed.

They replaced it. The hardware wasn't damaged, it just wouldn't boot, so it wasn't a loss for them. They can re-flash system and recovery from the bootloader.

i had that lagging this morning, i know what you talking about. I powered off and then back on and it went away. hope that helps
