Damm, when i woke up this morning, i didn't think i was going to be rooted by the end of the day. Now i am....I'm just glad it's finally over and done with! Phew! *wiping sweat off forehead

wanna say thanks for good work, Camel and everybody else who was helpful...sincal, pilot, uhhh...some more guys i forget but thanks!

Right now I only have 67 MB free space on my SD card and 61 MB free space on the phone itself. Are there any minimum space requirements that I need to free up before trying this?

Is there a list somewhere of all the options you have before flashing the ROM? Not a biggie, just curious what decisions I need to make before installation. Don't want to get all caught up during the install and have to do it again...and again :-)

Also from comments I saw is it true the Landscape version of the 2.1 home screen and 2.1 app drawer are still whacked?

You need to have on your SD card at least 200MB, plus the size of your /data partition if you want a backup of that. I don't recommend going in to this process with less than 250MB, and even that's probably pushing the limits.

I've been sweating over the root/don't root question for a while now. This made it so simple.

The only things I lost are the icons the way I had them on the homescreens, so I had to reposition them, and the toggle Google Voice wigdet is gone from the list of widgets.

Other than that, this is beautiful. I don't notice much of a speed difference, so I can't wait for 2.0 to be released.

My next couple of reboots after rooting did take a bit longer.

Thank you Camel!
