Yes; use the USB gadget in the notification bar.

which one do i select? windows media sync or memory card management? I tried both..

You select USB CONNECTED... it will promt you to mount or not

Is there a list somewhere of all the options you have before flashing the ROM? Not a biggie, just curious what decisions I need to make before installation. Don't want to get all caught up during the install and have to do it again...and again

After I rooted with this. The next couple of reboots took about five minutes. Now it boots up like normal.

You need to have on your SD card at least 200MB, plus the size of your /data partition if you want a backup of that. I don't recommend going in to this process with less than 250MB, and even that's probably pushing the limits.

I've been sweating over the root/don't root question for a while now. This made it so simple.

The only things I lost are the icons the way I had them on the homescreens, so I had to reposition them, and the toggle Google Voice wigdet is gone from the list of widgets.

Other than that, this is beautiful. I don't notice much of a speed difference, so I can't wait for 2.0 to be released.

My next couple of reboots after rooting did take a bit longer.

Download Drocap from the market, if you are able to take snapshots then you will know for sure that you are rooted.
