Android wear update

Excellent points, and I agree with a lot of that. New features might lead some people to buy an AW watch that have been considering one. I also see where PereDroid is coming from. If a person does not wear a watch every day already (like my dad....never ever wore a watch...ever) they may never buy one because they just don't like wearing a watch, regardless of what it can do. I have always been a watch person, so for me it was a logical choice. New watch that connects to my phone and shows me notifications and I can change the watch face style whenever I want....Bingo! I am looking forward to seeing where this goes with the next round of watches. I can see where a lot of people would want a GPS and / or LTE watch, I totally get it. For me personally, I just want a cool watch that is an external notification system. I have been drawing more emoji text responses on my watch lately....so I guess I am not too old to learn new tricks.

I just want one for fitness. In the future, IF I go off unlimited to a shared plan I probably still wouldn't spend the $10 a month to add the watch as a device (not to mention unnecessarily burning duplicate data) because I think it's just a waste. I don't anticipate needing or using LTE on my watch - if I need to be reachable I'll lug around my phone when running or lifting (and in the latter case most gyms now have wifi).

Actually that's not what I meant.
A watch person might buy a new gen every year. Watch people tend to have a lot of watches.
But me? I have a first gen. 2nd gen came out, added LTE and WiFi. No thanks. Nothing compelling there.

The only reason I want to upgrade is because I want a round watch. Or a thinner watch. Form factor.
I'm plenty happy with AW as is in mine.
Not sure what they could add to make me want to upgrade.

The 360x2 will probably be my next since Asus kept the huge bezel on gen2. Again, form factor.
If the 360x2 hits the right points, I'll keep that until the battery starts failing.
I think watches will be more like tablets...people will keep them longer.

Just received another AW app update, Dated 30 July 2015. The What's New section still has not changed from several updates ago. Downloading now, no idea what this update brings. Love the frequent updates Google, but come on...tell us what the app update does!

Oh you mean like the twice weekly update to YouTube where release notes tout you can do more and more easily now without elaborating any further? At least Chrome says "bug fixes and improvements".

Skype just had an update yesterday and I checked the "What's new" It's another generic, "We're constantly working to improve your experience. Each and every update includes performance enhancements and bug fixes."

Anyone noticed anything new or different with this recent update? I have not. Everything Iooks the same to me, have not seen any new settings or features. Minor "bug fixes" update?

So....just landed from a flight turned on my phone and there is another AW app update, dated 12 August. 30MB and still no new What's New section. Anyone else received this yet and seen anything new?

My guess is just bug fixes on these. Seems like we always hear about it when new features or major app ui tweaks are coming.

Seriously?
