I recently added a bit of music to my Droid, and now my Gallery is full of Album art. Is there a way to hide all of those folders from the Gallery, but still show up in the Music player?

I'm having a similar, but different problem. I dropped a bunch of album art on to the SD card and it's showing up in the gallery, but NOT showing up in the music player. How can I get it to appear in the player?

Not sure about ToyBoy's issue but I had the same problem as you with all the album art showing up in the gallery, I just deleted it all. I first deleted one i didnt care about then went back to the media player hit the song and it was still there. Then deleted a couple more from the gallery again going back to the media player to make sure when i played the song the cover was still there and they were. So after deleting all the covers from the gallery they are still in the media player.

have you tried folder arrangement?

all images go in DCIM. create folders to organize your images.

all media goes in a Media folder (that needs to be created).

from under the media folder, create a MP3, Ringtones and Notifications folder. separate your music into the MP3 folder to see if that takes care of the problem.

You can create a blank file that is names .nomedia and drop in the folder.
I believe the gallery will then ignore anything images in the folder.

I have NO IDEA if this will work BUT..........

In the thread about skinning BW there is one part where 928Droid says that the file ".nomedia" is required to "prevent the Android Gallery Application to display the skin items." So create that file in there and see what happens!

TO SLOW....

also if you name the album art from ****.jpg to "folder.jpg" it will not show up in the gallery.

It pulled all of my BLOG photos and everything associated with my google account into it. How do I cease that?

I have a similar but opposite problem. My playlist grabbed a random picture from my gallery and now I can't get rid of it.I even deleted the picture but it still shows the picture whenever I play music.

How do I get rid of it?

I'm curious...

Why would one load album art onto an SD card to begin with?

The mp3's I have on my Droid (over 150 mp3 song files) all have the album art embedded within the id3 tag, which will show up when the song plays. I don't want to load the actual album art files and use up SD card space when I don't need to.

(Maybe some people don't realize that the album art image files are NOT needed in order for the cover art to appear, as long as the image is already within the id3 tag?)
