Ok this is my question I downloaded a program to stop these little stars from showing up in my pull down menu and that did not work is there a setting in the phone to stop this from happening

I am not aware of an app that blocks air push notifications or a setting that does this either. There are apps that will tell you which app you've downloaded that is responsible for the ads. Then most people just Uninstall that app, leave the developer a poor rating, and write an awful review in the play store.

I found air push permanent opt out tryed that and after about 24 hrs they stopped
