advertising on the home screen

Not sure if this was discussed but i was getting advertising on my home screen. there would be a little green plus sign and the phone would notify me like it was a text. it was really getting on my nerves. i did some research and it happens when you download a app. if you are having this issue get air push detector. it will let you know what program is doing this. it turned out it was a wallpaper i downloaded.
