We have another flagship phone being shown off by its OEM just before MWC. Acer is jumping into the Android smartphone biz, and their first device looks pretty impressive. In fact, it even won the iF Design award 2012, in recognition of outstanding achievement in design before it is even released. It even has some pretty good specs, at least as far as what is currently known:
  • 4.3-inch HD display
  • Dolby sound
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • Less than 10mm thick
  • Will feature Acer’s AcerCloud cloud storage service
It would be nice to know more about the phone, like processor, ram and storage, but Acer plans to debut the phone at Mobile World Congress later this month, so it won't be long to wait.

What do you guys think? Can Acer make a good go of it in the Android world?

Was just about to write this LOL. But thanks for covering it for us. I love the design of this device. It looks really "smooth".

...and now where are those that say only Google is adopting the no hardware buttons for ics? This is an officially announced ics device, not really a leak and look...no capacitive buttons

This thing is pretty nice looking.

Looks nice. To bad it most likely won't release on a US carrier.

"Officially announced" not possible, rendered, leaked, or opinion. Fact, no buttons.
