3G Hotspot and Rubix

OK I feel like an idiot because I see countless posts on how the native 3g hotspot works for everyone except me.

I rooted my phone.
Installed Rubix Focused 1.9.7
Downloaded the NVRAM update and 3G hotpsot app from TBH.
Installed both ZIPs from Clockworks.

I still see no 3g hotpsot app. I tried to install the APK with a file manager. Doesn't install.

What am I doing wrong here?

The app is the 3G Hotspot App that came installed on your phone. The TBH download does not install an app, rather it just enables you to use the 3G Hotspot app that came with your Droid X

ok but when I install Rubix, there is no 3G hotspot app in the app drawer.

There are 2 downloads from TBH. One is the NVRAM modification and the other is the actual APK for the hotspot app.

Do you still to pay for its use or is it free? I guess since I have unlimited data plan, I don't have to worry, right? And does it work better than Wireless Tether from the market?
