2.3.4 system update November 15

After waiting so impatiently for 2.3 and hearing the disaster that occurred after the release Iconsidered myself one of the lucky ones who did not receive the ota and I had heard that Verizon pulled the update so when I woke up this morning to a 2.3.4 ota I am very hesitant to install it is there any way to make sure this version is different from the other ota that received so many complaints?

SIGH! I updated mine this morning and I lost about 10 aps. I removed them from my desktop and started reinstalling them from the phone (wouldn't work from the website oddly enough) and they are all working just fine. The only thing I am confused about now is that my system notifications are coming through differently in that they are now black and white. When I say system notifications I mean my gmail notification and the download notifications. That's what I have noticed so far. Anyone else?

My system msg icons are b&w too. I lost foursquare, facebook, twitter and go sms pro. The ringer/media volume is different. The power bar is different. The icons are tweaked. The weather/clock app is different with the animations. I also lost the widget for twitter and and my contacts (I have to group lists I like to have quick access to)

I haven't tested the battery life though something happened in the past 2 weeks that sucks it dry MEGA FAST compared to the usual Android painfully fast battery drain. I have no clue what happened there though.

I dunno what else I should be looking for yet.

The reinstall of Go SMS Pro looks slightly tweaked, too, but so far nothing glaring. My signal in my cube at work is atrocious so I haven't tested the reinstall of Foursquare.

Nothing though rendered me to my knees in a state of OMG WHYYYY GOOOD WHYYYYY just more of "argh c'mon really?!"

HAHA yeah hence the SIGH! Kinda funny though which apps it chooses to ignore. My Foursquare worked just fine! I have to say though that it wasn't a total disaster of an update because everything came back with very little work. I just am not sure why we "upgraded" to black and white notifications :p Thanks for the confirmation!!

I found the update notice on my VZW HTC DROID INCREDIBLE (ADR6300) this morning before noon. I followed the installation instructions CAREFULLY. After I clicked 'Install Now', NOTHING happened - no install, no update and now, no recoverable notice for the update. I've read on various VZW, HTC and Incredible forums today that some installs went well, some received the 4.06.xxx update instead of the 4.08xxx, and some installs (mostly the 4.06xxx ones) came through with it's inherent problems of saying the service was Sprint, not Verizon, the screen was 4 inches, the market app icon and a variety of apps missing (not new news). I suspect the update was AGAIN yanked until the problem with the update is AGAIN resolved. One person wrote that he spoke to a VZW tech rep and they said no way to manually push the update or send another notice or 'invite', and said to just hold on until another notice for the update is pushed down to his phone. OH-SO-SAD. It's been a long frustrating wait already. As many have pointed out, HTC, VZW, or Google should post a link and let us download it ourselves. Is that too much to ask for? It's open source code after all. Maybe there's a complication I don't understand.
Still waiting. . .

I got the 4.06xxxx one 2.3.4 Gingerbread this morning and everything work fantastic on my Incredible, phone boots up super fast, and everything from loading apps and browsing is super fast, feels like I got a new phone. No issues here, love it.

Mine said I didn't have enough free space to install part 2 this morning! Such crap since I've been deleting and deleting just.to get rid of the low space warning!

Mine did the exact same thing this morning

I got the low space warning this morning when it tried to install part 2. I cleared out about 4 GB of files (copied down all my pictures/videos that had been on my phone for too long). Still get the "Phone storage space is getting low" error. And it tells me my phone is up-to-date, even though it told me this morning it had an important upgrade for me.

I have Build 4.06.605.3 CL140944 release-keys.

Same problem here. Update yesterday went fine. Update this morning said not enough space. Deleted some apps, etc and went back to system settings to update and it says up to date v4.06.605.3.

Yep, me too. Verizon told me to wait a day. I had to delete WAY too much stuff to get that to go away! I sure hope with part 2 of the update they are fixing this problem.

My wifes phone updated just fine and running 4.08.605.2, no issues, no deleted apps, no black and white icons. Her phone was pretty messed up before GB, and I did a factory reset right after her phone updated to GB and she hasn't had issues since.

yesterday I got the Droid Incredible 2.3.4 update it's amazing. My phone boots up VERY fast and it seems to be faster all around. almost like a new phone:biggrin:. I soon found out that some people have a 4.08xxxxx(build number) and I only got a 4.06xxxxx:icon_eek:. so im wondering if there is some problem here. i started my phone up this morning to see that there was another update but i had low space. I deleted some useless apps and now i can't find the 'update' pop up:(. Can someone help.
Thanks, Karl
