I'm a droidaholic...

it started in 2008, when I had my G1. Well, I loved the G1, but hated having to open the keyboard, simply to respond to a short sms, say, to write "thanks", I'd have to open my keyboard. It was a pain.

Then, Google announced that they'd be releasing a VIRTUAL KEYBOARD in the new update!

Man... was I excited!

Seems I'm still waiting... not for the keyboard, no, got the virtual keyboard, along with Better Keyboard, HTC keyboard, red keyboards, blue keyboards, iPhone look a like keyboards.. no, now, I'm waiting for OS 2.1.

Theres nothing wrong with hoping it comes out. but yea don't get your hopes too high. but most of all dont get your expectations too high. You'll expect to much and you'll find lots of problems. Ive never had a single complaint about the Droid because the fact that I came from a sidekick so one could say the set expectation is for it to work atleast as good as my sidekick did soo you could guess that the Droid went way above and beyond those expectations even before I had any apps on it. But on another not I dont see the point in snuggies either

What happened to those maintenance patches that we need before getting 2.1? If theoretically it rolls out starting tonight and for those who havent got those phase 1/phase 2 patches.....does it mean we still need them or would it be safe to say 2.1 would be a safe go?

If you have 2.0.1 with Build Number of ESD56, you already have the most up to date build.

no I don't want to close it. I was making a crack at starting an entirely whole new website/forum called two point one : )
