Everyone talking about how the live wallpapers are going to be battery hogs.. take a look at your battery use. The radios and display take up the most the battery, running the processor is relatively cheap. I could be wrong though, we'll have to wait and see.

It WILL not be coming out tomorrow. They might be doing early batches, but tomorrow is not the official date! My older brothers whom work in Verizon, and I might not be credible, since I just registered. They have both said it will be coming the 23rd, not tomorrow! So, please don't be disappointed!

Friday sounds like a bad day, and Saturday is worse. if there is a problem the guys have to stay at work over the weekend?! no thanks. :icon_eek:

My eldest brother works in the phone lines/retail, and my older one just works selling them. They usually go into training sometime before the update, or are notified of it, before they sell the phone to inform customers if I recall correctly.

I have several friends who work in VZW Tech Support, people I worked with when I was in CS. Nobody has had any advance knowledge that it will be on any sort of schedule so your brothers know as much as anyone else.

I just got off the phone with VZW and was told by a tier 3 tech that the last update was on the 8th. There are no known updates incomming for the moto Droid. But she did let me know that they are hearing things within about the apple tablet. Oh boy!!

I tend to agree. I keep a close eye on my battery usage, and display is constantly the top offender. I was surprised that it actually used less though with brightness set to auto than with keeping it turned way [or ALL the way] down...

I wonder how that would be listed in battery usage though, or if it'll just be lumped in with something else...?

Time will tell.

I was pretty vague beforehand, sorry. Also, if tech knew about it, and it hasn't been talked about. Do you think they would release information about it?
