2.1 root?

OK, so a couple of days ago I got the OTA update on my UK-sourced Milestone, which was previously rooted. After installation, I did a factory reset just to start with a fresh slate, but I find that I don't seem to have root (opened terminal emulator, typed SU, clicked yes when superuser whitelist popped up), but the cursor remains blank.

So... anyone have any instructions/advice?

I'm not sure about te Milestone yet, but even te Droids REAL root exploit hasn't been uncovered yet I believe. But we still can put the su binary into bin and xbin and chmod them both. And then push the Superuser.apk into /system/app and it gives us root access. But from what I understand for some reason this isn't the full exploit or something like that...maybe someone else can answer better
