How does a person go about resetting the Xtex Tablet?

When I first received it about one year ago it did not include user manual and I got myself in trouble by pressing the wrong button and the screen went completely black/blank. When I turn it on it shows android name and then goes black.

I suspect I pressed the key to dim the backlight and got myself in trouble.

Anyone know how I can reset to factory settings?

I found help on the internet and was able to use Droid Explorer and the screencast option to adjust the brightness to normal and am now using the tablet.
