Just converted from Blackberry. Really liked their ability to post a statement on the front screen that showed while the phone was locked. I used it to record my name and contact information together with a statement of a REWARD for return of the phone.

Don't see any way to produce this feature on Droid. It really is an essential feature. Am I just not looking in the right place?

Contact Owner is the app you need for your lock screen info. Is does exactly what you want. I've been using it for a while now and it's perfect.

Didn't work on my Droid X (2.2). Gave some warning about running HTC Android which I bypassed. When I tried to select a contact, it wouldn't stick.

Now my Battery setting won't work. Don't know if it's related. ??

I've been running it on 2.2 since BB Froyo came out and haven't had any issues. I'm not sure if it's related.

Ninja Edit...

I added myself with my home number as the contact.
