wondering if there is any way that I can set a vibrate then ring function on my eris?

I had a blackberry and loved the fact that my phone would vibrate first, then ring, I like to avoid hearing the ring as much as possible but sometimes I won't feel the vibrate therefore need to have ringtone. Have looked everywhere, and found that others have asked but have not found an answer that has worked... Please help
