WiFi Teather and Linux

Ok so I recently installed backtrack 5 on my laptop for educational purposes.... I went to connect my phone for internet and WiFi teather has stopped working properly... it starts up and and gets this far and does nothing else. My laptop cannot obtain an ip and yea, just stuck....

Yes. Tether was working fine last night before bed. Now today out won't work at all
